As part of the «Women Here and Cinema» Festival, the association @ADILES, carrying the RESILIENS project, was invited to participate in the screening of the film «La maison des femmes» directed by Mélissa Godet.
This faithfully recounts the fascinating, demanding, yet immensely beneficial work of the healthcare professionals operating within France's first House for Women. Founded in 2016 by Dr. Ghada Hatem-Gantzer, it welcomes women who are victims of all types of violence, providing them with listening support, care, and protection.
This screening was followed by a lively debate involving professionals working with victims and perpetrators of domestic violence in Guadeloupe. It allowed for the discussion of important key points, namely how to recognise violence? How to help victims?…
How to raise awareness among the younger generation?
The large audience was very attentive to the responses given, demonstrating the need to continue awareness-raising work.
