Front/Back

The Recto/Verso social theatre workshops allow participants to act out everyday life situations and question the different cultural values of migrants regarding the host society. With the help of acting facilitators, migrant learners participate in the workshops by offering their insights on the situation presented and attempting to suggest alternative ways for the situation to unfold.

Themes covered within the Recto/Verso workshops

  • Relations with administrative bodies
  • Republican principles (secularism, male/female equality, solidarity)
  • Discrimination, prejudice, and tolerance regarding origins, religious beliefs, and sexual orientation…

ADILES offers French as a Foreign Language (FLE) trainers and migrant learners a pedagogical space for non-formal education to develop the acquisition of French language skills from short skits linked to situations observed or experienced by migrant learners within Guadeloupean host society.

The project Forum Theatre Workshop for French as a Foreign Language learners Front/Back is supported by the DEETS Solidarity Hub.
